C.J.M. Rescue Program

What is the C.J.M. Rescue?

The C.J.M. Rescue is the official animal rescue and rehabilitation program operated by CaptainAquatics Fins & Scales. Dedicated to loving, compassionate, and ethical care, the program was founded in honor of Chiara Jo Centrangolo-Mainolfi.

We provide a safehaven for all reptiles, amphibians, and arthropods (we do not accept aquatic surrenders at this time due to limited space and resources). We do not charge any fees, or ask any questions, all we ask is that you sign a simple release stating you have surrended your animal into our care.

Space can be limited at times, please call ahead to ensure we have the space requirements to take in your animal.

What happens to surrendered animals?

All animals surrendered to us go through a straightforward care program designed to safety, health, and long term well-being. Every animal recieves a health assessment and is placed in temporary housing to be observed and prevent the spread of illness.

Once we ensure the animal is healthy we then move them to a more permanant enclosure where they will then often live out the rest of their lives. On ocassion, if our space is limited, we will put the animal up for adoption and find a qualified keeper to provide quality care moving forward.
